Authors You Don't Want To Miss

Dear Avid Readers:   Today I am going to promote some authors rather than some book titles.  This will be a short post because it is Saturday, the busy day before we worship our Creator and all us women have to do the laundry, etc.

For all you mystery readers who want a quick read that is clean and fun you can't miss with these authors - Sue Grafton, who has written a series of books that has titles using the alphabet;  Dick Francis, who has often written books with the horse racing world woven into the theme, the central characters are ever changing;  Robert B. Parker, who has three master detectives solving crimes named Spenser, Sunny Randall and Jesse Stone. His books have been made into movies.  He has snappy dialog and they are real page turners.

For the Christian reader I totally love James Scott Bell's books, Karen Ball's books she has put out the last three years and the police detective books by Mark Mynheir.

There are also authors who write as teams under one author's name.   The first team I recommend writes under the name of Peri O'Shaunessy (not positive on the spelling and not Christian).  The other team of Christian writers uses the name Hannah Alexander.

You will find all of these writers will keep you reading quickly and they will stump you often.  I normally can guess Who Dunit, these writers will often surprise me!  They never disappoint me with their characters, writing style or tone.  Look at their web sites too.   Until next time when I can tell you more about some interesting books, authors or new publishers stay safe and may you find peace in God.

Peggy
